This year Alfredo alla Scrofa celebrated its 110 anniversary and was awarded the title of “esercizio storico”, or historic business, of Rome. Alfredo made history in the Roman culinary landscape for more than a century, becoming world famous for its purely perfect, yet extremely simple linguine dish. Mario Mozzetti, the owner, and the whole staff, are happy to pamper you in the exquisite elegance of this historic location, and introduce you to some classic examples of Roman cuisine with a contemporary flare.

If you decide to trade the air-conditioned rooms for the orange hues of the old buildings, you will not be disappointed with the Piazzetta Alfredo: the wide area in front of the restaurant, is perfect for your meal "al fresco".
Shaded in the summer by large umbrellas, and warmed in the winter by outdoor heaters and cozy blankets, you will always be comfortable.

During a renovation project in 2023, several rooms, spaces and reservoirs, in perfect state of preservation, were discovered underneath the restaurant.
These ancient constructions near the Tiber and around the Campo Marzio have been turned into charming dining and tasting spaces.
